Michael Hill was the CEO and Founder of two software companies focused on education and dental practice management. In addition, he owned and managed a dental business providing laboratory services to dentists and dental specialists throughout the U.S. He has authored three books and has written dozens of articles on dental practice marketing and management. Additionally, he served as the marketing director for an Orange County-based construction materials manufacturer where he was charged with bringing multiple new products to market.
Michael joined SBDC in March of 2019 after the successful sale of his second software company. He specializes in helping tech-focused companies and medical-focused service firms get out of the garage (or head) and into the market as quickly and cost-effectively as possible by following laser-focused planning and execution methods.
He has advisory and investment positions with two software startups. The first company he took from concept to an MVP and beta. The second company is on its third design iteration and released its MVP to a test group earlier this year. His role was focused on helping to find specialty coders, source code management strategies, prototype assistance, functional spec development, patent claim development, and non-provisional filing.
